Leading the UX team to create a multiplatform native app and a multibrand strategy for a total of 11 train operators in the UK and an additional 2 in the US. This endeavor encompassed renowned brands such as Virgin Trains, Gatwick Express, First Capital Connect, The Trainline, and Metro NY. The project yielded remarkable results, with an impressive app store rating of 4.5 and the prestigious recognition of winning the Railway Industry Innovation Award in 2012.
One of the cornerstones of this project was the establishment of a comprehensive design system, comprising a set of rules, principles, constraints, and best practices. This design system served as the foundation for ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across various platforms, including native apps for iOS, Android, Windows Mobile, Blackberry, Nokia, and Hybrid HTML5.
Additionally, I had the privilege of building and leading an internal UX team while collaborating with skilled UI design contractors. This collaborative approach was instrumental in delivering a successful project that not only met but exceeded expectations.
